About me
Yamel Chinchilla is a higher education and workforce development leader with experience building educational pathways that connect students, schools, employers, and community partners. She currently serves as Manager of Executive Operations at the Community College of Rhode Island, where she supports Career and Technical Education, Early College, and community partnership initiatives through strategic operations, partner engagement, communications, and program administration. Her background includes work in work-based learning, dual enrollment, admissions, adult education, multilingual education, and workforce-aligned programming, all of which support strong CTE pathways from high school to college and career. She has held roles focused on expanding access for first-generation, low-income, multilingual, and underserved students. In this presentation, Yamel brings practical experience in strengthening CTE partnerships, improving student pathways, and supporting programs that lead to industry credentials, college credit, and high-wage, high-demand career opportunities.
